Shipping & Delivery

Every order from Three Birds and an Owl is carefully wrapped and packaged by me before beginning its journey to you.

As many of my pieces are handmade and one of a kind, I take particular care to make sure they are well protected for posting.

UK delivery

UK delivery is available at checkout. The delivery charge is calculated according to your order and will be shown before you complete your purchase.

Once your order has been dispatched, I’ll send confirmation so you know it’s on its way.

International delivery

I currently offer international delivery to selected destinations, including the USA. Available destinations and delivery charges will be shown at checkout.

International delivery can take a little longer, so please allow extra time for your parcel to arrive.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes

Orders shipped outside the UK may be subject to customs duties, import taxes or additional handling charges.

USA Orders

Orders to the USA are shipped using Royal Mail's duty-paid service, meaning applicable import duties are paid in advance. Customers should not normally be required to pay additional customs duties upon delivery.

Other International Orders

For all other international destinations, any customs duties, import taxes or handling fees not included in the shipping cost are the responsibility of the customer.

These charges are determined by the destination country and are outside my control.

Dispatch times

As most items listed on the website are already made and ready for their new home, I aim to dispatch orders within 3–5 working days. However, if an order is placed later in the week, it may be posted the following weekend.

I always aim to dispatch orders as quickly as I can — if you’re anything like me, you want your new sketchbook instantly!

Three Birds and an Owl is a small independent business that I run alongside my full-time work, so I usually prepare and post orders at the weekend.

If there is ever likely to be a significant delay, I’ll contact you.

For made-to-order or personalised pieces, an estimated making and dispatch time will be provided when ordering.

Packaging

Your order will be carefully packaged to protect it in transit, using recyclable or reusable packaging wherever practical.

Where appropriate, original artwork and handmade books will be wrapped and protected inside a sturdy mailing box.

Delivery problems

If your parcel hasn’t arrived when expected, please get in touch and I’ll help you look into it.

If an order arrives damaged, please contact me as soon as possible and include your order number and photographs of the item and packaging where possible.

Please check your address

Please check your delivery address carefully when placing your order. If you notice a mistake, contact me as soon as possible. If your order has not yet been dispatched, I’ll do my best to correct it.
